Communication Junction offers a variety of private and group classes created to improve communication with children and families. We believe sign language promotes early communication, reduces frustration and tantrums, improves reading skills, and may even increase IQ. It is a wonderful way to jump-start communication at an early age and it can serve be an excellent bridge with a child who is experiencing delays in communication.

Communication Junction founder, Abbey Cook, is a Speech Language Pathologist licensed through the American Speech and Hearing Association and also serves at the Upper Midwest Region Associate Director of the Signing Time Academy. In addition to teaching sign language classes to both children and adults, she also offers private speech therapy sessions and teaches a variety of courses at Illinois State University and the community. She has two young children both of whom use American Sign Language to communicate every day.
