Say More Cheese Please

One of the tricks that I have learned about trying to capture a signing child on camera is to have them strapped into their highchair. Running through a list of signs that they know while also offering them some food often makes for some pretty good photos. While our toddlers love to run and play, meal time is a great time where you can maintain their attention to not only teach some new signs but also capture the signs they know onto film.

This is a picture of Delaney at about 22 months old. She knew at least 110 signs, but cheese was always one of her favorites. I personally think because it got her a treat of a slice of cheese almost every time she signs it ;).

Her current attention span for signing is also amazing. She and I did some Signing Time flashcards last night. Every time we were done with a pack I would say "the end," and she would say, "more cards." So we sat and did all 8 packs that we own in a row. Delaney's grandmother was sitting right next to us and was pretty impressed by Delaney's enjoyment of and attention for all those flashcards!
